The Research faculty members play active role in creating an ecosystem for innovations in research. These researchers have taken an initiative to boost the research and motivate other faculty members to undertake research activities in their field of interest. Shivaji University, Kolhapur has sanctioned one Minor Research Project to one of our faculty members, Dr. Amol Jarag from Department of Geography, under the Research Initiation Scheme in the academic year 2019-20. The University has sanctioned research grant for the project of Rs. 60000. Dr. Milind Sutar of the Department of Physics submitted two research proposals in the year 2022-23, one to Shivaji University Kolhapur under the Diamond Jubilee Research Initiation Scheme and other to the Rajiv Gandhi Science & Technology Commission, Government of Maharashtra. The UGC has sanctioned one Minor Research Project to Prof. (Dr). Leelawati Patil from Department of English during the academic year 2022-23. The total amount of the project is Rs. 90000. The Government agency has sanctioned one Major Research Project to Dr. Amol Jarag having cost about Rs. 8,00,000/- with his Co-researchers and also one minor research project has been approved by Manusrushti NGO, which will cost about Rs. 100000. Student's annual magazine, named “Tutari” is publishes by the college every year. Different departments within the college arrange field and industrial visits to enhance organizational information and knowledge. Every year students are motivated to participate in the competitions organized on the research projects like STARTUP, AVISHKAR hosted by Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The Department of Economics organizes a bank visit every year for students to learn about the modern banking system. To develop new skills and knowledge, several departments within the college organize study tours. In the last five years, 23 full-time professors have been awarded a Ph.D and 06 professors have been recognized as Research Guides. For gaining practical experience, knowledge of industry sectors, awareness, and business incubation activities, the college offers Career Oriented Courses such as CMLT, Electric Maintenance of Domestic Appliances, Designing of solid-state amplifiers, Basic English Grammar, and Share Market Trading. Some professors at the college are recognized as postgraduate teachers. The faculty of the Department of English has been fully involved in research. In charge Principal Prof. (Dr.) Satish Ghatage is guiding 04, and Prof (Dr.) Leelawati Patil is guiding 05 students for the Ph.D. program. The college has organized a number of seminars and webinars at State and National levels. Shikshanmaharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe College, Miraj & Marathi Anthropological Society, Pune jointly organized a One Day International conference on "Society Culture and Environment " on Saturday 20th October 2018. Dr. Milind Sutar from the Department of Physics has been awarded a German   Patent for “A System for Magnetic Characterization and Measurement of the Magnetostriction Coefficients”. IPC: G01R 33/09.
