I, welcome you to our College, Shikshanmaharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe College, Miraj, Dist- Sangli. College was established on 21st June 1965. The college is renamed after Late Shikshanmaharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe. College is one of the renowned college in Miraj. I, as the Principal, am proud to be associated with Shikshanmaharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe College, Miraj which is committed to ‘Dissemination of Education for Knowledge, Science and Culture’ the vision of Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe. With this vision college is working devotedly to create an inclusive society by educating the youth to give rise to their holistic development in keeping with highest ethical standards. The college Management takes special care for promotion of research culture in the stakeholders.

We are trying to equip our students with necessary skills, so that they will have bright future. In addition to this we make efforts to develop such habits and inculcate virtues as to help them become responsible citizens. College provides a platform for the students to enhance their skills through NSS, NCC and cultural activities. To uplift the subject knowledge number of co-curricular, extra-curricular and extension activities are conducted throughout the year.

The college library is computerized and has a large number of books and magazines that are made easily available to students and faculty of the college.

Thus Education is not simply acquiring knowledge but is learning to live out this knowledge wisely. However, with all the ideals & high-sounding goals that education is said to encompass, the need of the hour is to educate the mind to establish & preserve a peace-based Society.

I, as the Principal of the College, would like my students to achieve great heights in their careers in particular and life in general. At the same time, I would call upon all teaching and non-teaching staff to excel in their respective fields.
