DEPARTMENT AT A GLANCE

Welcome to Marathi Department of Shikshanmaharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe College, Miraj. Our Marathi Department was established in year 1967. The Marathi Department is functioning with the noble purpose of achieving overall development of the students’ personality, creating a noble attitude of the students towards the society and creating an ideal citizen for the country.

In accordance with this, students are constantly guided to develop linguistic skills (writing, reading, listening, and speaking), develop interest in Marathi language and explain the importance of mother tongue and strive for the progress of mother tongue and knowledge enrichment. Under this guidance, the Marathi Department organized various competitions, various activities and guest lecturers every year to create interest in the language among the students. Students and teachers also always actively participate in these various literary conference, library visits, printing press visits, seminars and workshops.

MOUs have been signed between Marathi Department of Shikshan Maharshi Bapuji Salunkhe College, Miraj and Shivaji University Marathi Teachers Union, Kolhapur and Willingdon College, Sangli and Kanya College, Miraj. Under this MoU, jointly programs were organized every year. There is a It has a tendency to work in a happy spirit among teachers and students for the development, progress, preservation and conservation of Marathi language among teachers and students to work together in a cheerful spirit for the development, progress, preservation and conservation of Marathi language
