About College

Shikshanmharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe College Miraj was established on 21st June, 1965, this is first Multyfaculty College in the Miraj City. The college is run by parent institution Shri Swami Vivekananda Shikshan Sanstha, situated in Kolhapur and affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolahpur. The institute was founded by Shikshanmaharishi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe in 1954. It is a second largest educational institution in Maharashtra State. At present the Institution is working with more than 406 branches to spread primary, secondary and higher education in rural, hilly, and urban areas of Maharashtra and Karnataka State. The institution maintains the excellence in education under the guidance of Hon. Executive Chaiman Prin. Abhaykumar Salunkhe, Hon. Secretary Prin. Smt. Shubhangi Gavade and Hon. CEO Mr. Koustubh Gavade.

Since establishment the college is running with the motto of Shri Swami Vivekananda Shikshan Sanstha, Kolhapur “Dissemination of Education for Knowledge, Science and Culture”. The College has a dynamic educational environment which provides- dedication, devotion and inculcates cultural values among the students. It provides education in the disciplines of Arts, Commerce and Science. The college is offering 14 UG courses and 2 PG courses, M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry and M.Com. in Advance Accountancy.
