Shikshanmaharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe College, Miraj

S. M. Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe College Miraj was established on 21st June, 1965 and is named after the founder of the institution Shikshanmaharshi Dr.Bapuji Salunkhe.

The name of the Institution is Shri Swami Vivekananda Shikshan Sanstha, situated in Kolhapur and was founded by Shikshanmaharishi Dr.Bapuji Salunkhe in 1954. The President of our Institution is Hon. Prin. Abhaykumarji Salunkhe. The Secretary of our Institution is Hon. Prin. Mrs. Shubhangi Gavade and Joint Secretary is Hon. Prin. Dr. Rajendra R. Shejwal.

The College also has a dynamic educational environment which provides- dedication, devotion and inculcates cultural values into students. It provides education in the disciplines of Arts, Commerce and Science. The teaching and learning process is facilitated with specialized Laboratories, Computer Labs with high speed Broadband Internet, full electricity backup, well furnished Library with Reading room and Reference section.

It is a study center of YCMOU, NASHIK and runs the courses conducted by Center for Distance Education, Shivaji University Kolhapur. The college also offers a Two - Year Diploma Course in Food Processing from the current academic year 2015-16. The college also imparts cultural values and maintains outstanding records in Sports, NSS and NCC. The college has well qualified and experienced faculty.

The college is offering two PG courses, one from Science (M.Sc. Organic Chemistry) and another from Commerce (M.Com.).
